Haley White 1989 is an important year for Afganistan because it is the year the Berlin wall fell and Russia recieded compleatly from the country. Amir's first book was also published in the summer of that year. Soraya and Amir also started trying in vain to have a baby
Jasmine Duplechin 1989 is an important year for both Amir and Soraya because they started trying to have a baby. Amir got his novel published in the summer of 1989. It was the year that the Berlin Wall came down and the year that the Russians backed out of the country.
